New Release: v0.7.3 - General Bug Fixes

posted @ Friday, October 20, 2006 9:38 AM by Sharky

Fixed Or Added In v0.7.3

  • Turns out when Americans use the term "EST", they actually mean "NY time", which is EST (GMT-5) in their colder months, and EDT (GMT-4) in their warmer months. Changed the File Loader window to reflect this.
  • Recurse subdirectories option on File Loader window. Can also specify a filter, e.g. *EUR*USD*.csv would process all EURUSD files.
  • New, much faster method for manual interval data creation.
  • Use of Bar Offset feature sometimes causes error to be shown.
  • Fixed up Bollinger band calculations.
  • An "Out of Memory" exception is possible if you try to add too many buy/sell icons. This can happen when pasting from the data file that result from backtesting.
  • Auto-trading for Oanda struggles to keep up if the timeframe for the trading system is anything less than 5-Minute bars, if you are downloading too many currencies/intervals. If you are Auto-trading using EURUSD 1-Minute bars, for example, but downloading absolutely everything Oanda offers, it can be 3 minutes between each download of the EURUSD 1-Minute data. Created a special Oanda downloads section which downloads only the currencies/intervals needed for Auto-Trading and Alerts.
  • Auto-trading for Oanda errors when trying to modify an existing Short limit order. This error was on the Oanda side of things, and you need the latest version of the VB.Net API to resolve the issue.
  • If a field on Trading System Settings Update window is already populated, keep it the same value when the comboxes change.
  • Command Centre - Instead of user selecting a value for "Minutes between price downloads", for example, they now select hours, minutes, secs. Total must be <= 99:59:59.
  • Order the trading rules in the backtesting output file.
  • Buttons on the bottom of the Chart window need to move down if that window is resized.
  • Bulk delete button for price data.
  • Mark As Read, and Mark All As Read buttons on Messages window.
  • Status labels for Interval creation.
  • Change the number of decimals on the chart by utilising the Pip Multiplier value for the displayed financial product.
  • Minor GUI changes.
